MAPP- The fastest way to identify your career direction, learning style and motivation

Conducting a Rigorous Self Assessment

In today’s job market, self-knowledge is the most important piece of a successful job search. To help gain knowledge about different aspects of yourself, who you are and what you want out of your life and your career, there are several types of interest, workplace, and personality inventories that can be taken.

Few are available via the Internet, as is the MAPP™. The MAPP™ assessment is one of the most comprehensive assessments available. Unlike the MAPP™ assessment, usually three or more of the other assessment instruments or batteries are administered by career counselors. This is because different kinds of information are obtained from each one. The results of most of these assessments must then be interpreted by a trained professional counselor. The MAPP™ provides you with complete narratives and graphical portrayals of the results, which can act as a guide to making your own choices about your future in the world of work. Trained customer service staff are available if you have further questions.

As stated, self-knowledge is the most important piece of a successful job search. There are many quotes about career planning and knowing where you want to be in the world of work. All imply if you don’t know where you are going you will end up where you don’t want to be. To be really successful in developing a career path and finding a fulfilling job, the search has to be intentional. The quality of your next job affects your quality of life! Be wise! Plan on spending some time and money on your job search. And there is truly no better investment.
