Put your MAPP to work with Career Explorer

It’s time to put your MAPP results to work and have some fun. Go back to the early part of your Student Career Appraisal called "Top Ten Vocational Areas." Look at the list of the ten occupational titles with the highest motivation and greatest potential for your success - your own personal Top 10 list. Notice that these are areas rather than specific job titles. Many jobs fall into each area and new jobs are constantly being created; therefore, MAPP does not limit possible jobs. Rather, this list gives you a summary of your overall motivations and takes into consideration the traits that you enjoy doing. Look for jobs that require these motivations by using your Top 10 list as a guide. To find specific examples of career opportunities, just click on an item in your Top 10 list. Write down the job titles that interest you.

Now that you have some career possibilities in mind, it’s time to look more closely at the jobs you are interested in to see how you match up.
